Hi, I’m Brian Shade.

I’m an NCSF-Certified Personal Trainer and the founder of Shade Made Strength.

I help people become stronger, move more confidently, and build fitness that carries over into everyday life. My coaching is centered on functional strength, movement quality, proper technique, and sustainable progress—not punishing workouts or one-size-fits-all programs.

Whether you are new to exercise, returning after time away, or ready to move beyond a plateau, I will meet you where you are and build a plan around your current abilities, experience, and goals.

My philosophy is simple: training should make your life better. It should help you feel more capable, resilient, and confident—not leave you constantly exhausted or afraid of getting hurt.

Beyond the Gym

Fitness is an important part of my life, but it is not my entire life.

When I am not coaching or training, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, caring for my reptiles, reading fantasy and science-fiction, gaming, working on projects, and enjoying the interests that make life meaningful.

That perspective shapes the way I coach. Training should not take over your life—it should give you more strength, confidence, and energy to enjoy it.
